Weight loss for some may seem like a great mystery.  This is why there are so many gastro-intestinal surgeries, and other odd weight loss procedures done today.  These methods may work for some who want to go to the extreme, but for those who want to lose weight the old fashioned way there are some tried-and-true methods to losing weight.

Eat Breakfast

Your metabolism is one of the leading factors that influences your weight loss.  Most people believe that skipping out of breakfast will help them lose weight faster because you’re eating less calories, but in the long run you’ll be slowing down your weight loss because your metabolism will naturally slow down.  Your biggest meal should actually be breakfast because you are most active during the hours that follow your breakfast.  Take control of your weight by eating your breakfast.

Reduce Stress

Stress plays a huge role in your weight loss because it can affect many of your bodily functions negatively.  Try doing something you enjoy for at least 30 minutes a day, whether its taking a walk, reading, or spending time in a hot tub.  By reducing stress you’ll allow you’re body to function better, and in turn lose weight at your optimum peak.

Keep Moving

Not everyone can make it to a gym to work out everyday, but thankfully there are things you can do throughout the day that can still give you a workout.  As long as you try to move more during the day you’ll be burning more calories constantly.  Try bouncing your legs as you sit, or standing up in your office instead of settling in your chair.  You can easily burn hundreds of extra calories every day just by being more active.
