The future of minor league and now big league Dominic Brown has been up in the air over recent months, but that all changed on Wednesday July 28, 2010.
On Wednesday, The Phillies called upon Dominic Brown to replace center fielder Shane Victorino, who strained his left abdominal. Victorino was sent to the disabled list for the Phillies, opening up the spot for Brown.
His injury came on Tuesday night when the Phillies were playing Arizona. Victorino was sliding back to first base when the strain occurred.
Brown has been having an exceptional year in the minor league batting .327 with 20 home runs, and 68 RBI’s. Brown will be starting on Wednesday night against Arizona.

Yesterday, Shawn Crable was put on the active/PUP list for starting training camp, and today the linebacker for the Patriots was cut.
Crable was drafted in the third round of the 2008 NFL draft, and never played a single regular season game for the Patriots. For the first 8 games of his rookie year he was inactive, and then injured his shin. In 2009, he injured his groin, and was again put on injured reserve.
After being put on the active physically-unable-to-perform list yesterday, just one day shy of the opening day of training camp, many believed that it would be the final straw for Crable. Today, that suspicion was confirmed as the Patriots officially released him.
